God’s favor is a special gift that brings blessings, opportunities, and divine help. In the Bible, we see how God’s favor changed the lives of people like Joseph, Esther, and Mary. His favor opens doors that no one can shut and lifts up those who are humble. Even in difficult times, His favor brings victory.
When God’s favor is upon someone, they receive blessings beyond their efforts. Joseph was a slave and prisoner, yet God’s favor made him a ruler in Egypt. Esther was an orphan, but God’s favor made her a queen who saved her people. Mary, a simple young woman, was chosen to be the mother of Jesus because of God’s favor.
God’s favor is not earned but is given by His grace. However, we can prepare ourselves to receive it by walking in obedience, faith, and humility. The Bible says that those who live in truth and love will find favor with both God and people. Seeking Him daily positions us for His divine help. Below are Bible verses that show the blessings and power of God’s favor in the lives of His people.

What does the Bible say about Favor
Favor in the Bible means God’s special kindness and blessings given to His people. It is when God shows His goodness, helps someone, or gives them opportunities they could not get on their own. Many people in the Bible experienced God’s favor, and it changed their lives in amazing ways.
Noah found favor with God when the world was full of evil (Genesis 6:8). Because of this favor, God saved Noah and his family from the flood. Joseph also had God’s favor, even though he went through many troubles. He was sold as a slave and put in prison, but God’s favor made him successful in everything he did (Genesis 39:21). Because of God’s favor, Joseph became a ruler in Egypt and saved many people from hunger.
Moses also had God’s favor. He asked God to show him His ways and be with him (Exodus 33:13). God answered by saying, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest” (Exodus 33:14). This shows that God’s favor brings peace and His presence.
In the story of Esther, God’s favor helped her become queen and save her people from destruction (Esther 2:17). Even though she was not born into royalty, God’s favor placed her in a position of great influence. She risked her life to speak to the king, but because of God’s favor, the king listened to her and protected her people.
The Bible also says that Jesus had favor with both God and people (Luke 2:52). This means that God was pleased with Him, and people respected Him. As believers, we can also ask for and receive God’s favor.
Favor is not something we can earn, but it comes through God’s grace. However, we can position ourselves for His favor by living in obedience, faith, and humility. Proverbs 3:3-4 says that if we walk in love and truth, we will find favor with God and people.
God’s favor brings blessings, success, and open doors that no one can shut. It does not mean life will always be easy, but it means that God is working for our good. When we trust Him, seek Him, and walk in His ways, we can experience His favor in our lives just as the people in the Bible did.
