What does the Bible say about Feeling Lost
Feeling lost is something that happens to many people. It can be a time when life feels confusing, uncertain, or hopeless. The good news is that the Bible has many verses that bring comfort and guidance when we feel lost. God does not leave us alone in our struggles. He promises to lead us, help us, and bring us back to Him.
One of the most powerful truths in the Bible is that God is always with us. In Deuteronomy 31:8, it says, “The Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.” Even when we do not understand what is happening, God has a plan for our lives. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” This means that even if we feel lost today, God is still leading us toward something good.
Jesus also spoke about feeling lost. In Luke 19:10, He said, “For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” This shows us that Jesus came to rescue us when we are spiritually lost. In John 10:27-28, He promises, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.” If we follow Jesus, we will never be truly lost because He is our Good Shepherd.
When we feel lost, we should trust in God and pray for His guidance. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” This means that we do not have to figure out everything on our own. God will show us the right path when we seek Him.
Feeling lost is a part of life, but we are never alone. God is always near, ready to lead us back to Him. If we hold on to His promises, He will give us peace and direction.
